Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to Pharmacy Operations and 340B business clients. Support other business units, such as the PBM
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and ability to structure, draft and negotiate contracts
  • Handle fast paced and high-volume workload
  • Identify legal and compliance issues and business risks and offer effective solutions tailored to the situations. Identify and escalate to other leaders and GC as appropriate
  • Project management of key projects as needed
  • Effectively communicate with all levels across Maxor business entities
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of general commercial and healthcare law (such as HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, state regulations, etc.) plus pharmacy-related experience to effectively support business unit operations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
  • Work under the lead of General Counsel and senior attorney and exercise sound judgment as to matters that require attention of Legal and Compliance Department senior leadership
  • Promote and ensure compliance with Maxor Business Code of Conduct, as well as other company policies and procedures

Requirements

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school

Experience:

  • 4-7 years legal experience with demonstrated excellent working knowledge and primary focus in healthcare
  • Preference for candidates with pharmacy, 340B, or PBM experience
  • Preference for candidates with in-house experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Highly motivated with drive and ability to dig into the details, provide insight and drive decision-making
  • Proven experience supporting geographically-dispersed teams
  • Unquestionable integrity, ethics and judgement. The courage and ability to take a strong position when required for the good of Maxor
  • Ability to communicate legal concepts and opinions in a digestible manner for business leaders
  • Exceptional communication, relationship building and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into agreements and assist internal clients in navigating legal issues to support both the business goals and the best interest of the Company
  • Highly intelligent and possesses intellectual curiosity to probe and understand complex business and legal issues and trends
  • A natural leader with proven abilities across a broad range of internal and external constituents
  • Team player with a high level of self and cross-cultural awareness. Successful record for building strong and enduring relationships with a collaborative & engaging style, keeping ego in check
