Job Description

This position is Full-Time and Remote within the United States.

You will:

  • Serve as Practice Leader for assessment science and the technical assessment discipline at HackerRank, working cross functionally as new products and skills are delivered
  • Deliver meaningful, high quality validation service projects, or oversee the same through the team, to ensure customer and prospect confidence in our products and services
  • Collaborate with Product in the development of new assessments including research, design, data collection, and implementation of scoring
  • Performing maintenance, improvement, and continuing study on existing assessments
  • Designing and performing research studies, the results of which will be included in internal resources and public white papers
  • Contribute meaningfully to the body of scientific research and HackerRank content on matters pertaining to assessment and/or our core construct offering via conference submissions and publications
  • Contributing to HackerRank’s point of view on matters pertaining to the design of selection systems and employee development
  • Serve as the senior most customer facing leader on questions or concerns about technical aspects of our assessments
  • Write and revise technical documents to support assessments and solutions
  • Advising internal teams on matters relating to best practice, assessment science and technical assessment discipline
  • Increase HackerRank capabilities and performance by training other HackerRank employees on matters pertaining to I/O Psychology, measurement and psychometrics, and methodology as needed
  • Collaborate across levels and teams within HackerRank to contribute to growth and customer delight.
  • Develop and ensure execution of procedures and best practices to deliver a consistently delightful, highly successful customer experience
  • As the team grows, develop your team members and build a high performing team. This includes, but is not limited to, formal and informal career development and mentoring team members. Instill pride in outcomes for both services experience and long-term customer success within the Services team

We are looking for:

  • Educational Requirements
    • Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
    • 10 years applied experience creating modern assessments for business use
  • Required Knowledge & Skills
    • Knowledge of I/O psychology principles and issues
    • Knowledge and skill in assessment design and development
    • Knowledge and skill regarding research design
    • Demonstrated skill in managing research and development projects
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • Self-management and organizational skills
    • Very strong problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience in HR or TA technology
  • Experience in technical hiring
