Academic Center Tutor Team Lead

Job Description

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform general responsibilities of the advisor role to include: performing weekly tutoring sessions, provide accurate and timely feedback on paper and project reviews, provide students with helpful academic resources, facilitate group study sessions, advise on basic study and learning skills, otherwise contribute to positive student learning experiences and student success.
  • Supports teams by serving as an informed point of contact and escalation point for student complaints and technology issues for Academic Center Tutors.
  • Partners with Specialist and Manager to observe and manage emails, reviews, questions and other asynchronous services operating in various technology software systems.
  • Supports team by assisting in mentoring Academic Center Tutors as needed
  • Supports Manager and Specialist with operational administrative tasks as directed by business needs as defined by Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Math, English, Writing, Business, Technology, Science or related field
  • Minimum five years experience teaching or practice in field or a combination; supervisory experience a preferred
  • Practiced knowledge of MS Office and Google suite;
  • Ability to manage multiple emails accounts; Ability to adapt to changing technical demands
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Demonstrate a commitment to students; Provide a positive student-centered atmosphere with patience and understanding
