We are a growing legal tech company looking for a full-time attorney or paralegal to develop legal products, automated contracts, and business formation services on a contract basis.
The attorney would remain an independent contractor and work remotely. Law journal experience, specifically in an editorial capacity, is preferable.

Researching and drafting legal documents enforceable in all 50 states. We will need legal documents from a wide array of legal fields (business, real estate, landlord-tenant, finance, estate planning), so strong research skills using legal and non-legal databases and search engines is a must.
Embedding each document into our backend system using basic HTML, which we will train you on. Ideal candidates will already have a basic understanding of HTML coding and how it works or be willing to receive training on this.
Form generation and document testing
Other related tasks as the need arises
US Juris Doctorate or international law degree
Law journal experience in an editorial capacity is a plus
Professional experience drafting and/or very working closely with a variety of contracts
A close eye for details
Technologically savvy. Candidate needs to be comfortable learning new platforms on the go and using multiple online platforms at once to stay organized, communicate with the team, and keep tasks streamlined.
Ability to research laws for all 50 states as they relate to each contract
Strong drafting skills and the ability to think analytically about how different contract clauses will interact and playout for each party in the future
Ability to quickly adapt to new procedures and online systems
A thorough understanding of most, if not all, grammar rules in the English language
Ability to read, write, and edit technical legal language
