Job Description

Title: Sr. IT Risk & Compliance Analyst

Location: United States

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join the IT Risk and Compliance team. This team sits within the IT department, not Internal Audit or Legal so it will afford you the opportunity to be a truly trusted member of the team that you are helping rather than the compliance auditor . In your role as a value-added trusted advisor, youll proactively analyze and consult on matters of system and control risk management, as well as provide assistance to internal technical teams to meet our risk management goals.

The candidate will work directly with the IT Risk and Compliance Manager in addressing a broad spectrum of risk including: compliance risk, financial statement risk, operational risk, and fraud risk. Key focus areas of this role include (but are not limited to) quantitative risk management (analytics), technical internal value-add, and platform specific expertise. Currently, SOX and Salesforce risk will be heightened points of attention, as Elastic is still in our first few years of SOX compliance.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Partner with other technical and risk specialists to evaluate and document key data and process flows, configurations, and other analysis needed to maintain compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Present analysis findings to propose process improvements that will strengthen the internal control environment while increasing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of risk monitoring efforts through automation, compliance-as-code, and use of Elastics own technology stack
  • Analyzing a range of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS instances for risk optimization
  • Assist with the development of written or slide-based reports and/or presentations
  • Prepare high-quality control testing workpapers and ensure support and conclusions are well documented in accordance with department standards
  • Own assigned tasks and complete deliverables of high quality within established timelines

What You Bring Along:

  • 4+ years of analysis experience with SOX-compliant systems
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Information Systems or Finance/Accounting
  • One of the nine Salesforce Architecture certifications strongly preferred
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with the unknown
  • Strong authentic relationship building skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills around business processes, controls, and deficiencies
