Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and is excited by driving success in delivering insightful financial analyses and reports working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to accomplish bold things.

A bit about the role

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for owning the operating and financial model for Sendle, managing cross-functional analysis, understanding key business metrics, and crafting new operational processes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to strategy and planning while working alongside the executive team to evaluate new lines of business, international expansion and fundraising initiatives. This is an opportunity to help both set the direction and execute the strategy that will drive our growth.

  • Drive decision making by identifying key drivers for business generation and profitability to develop investment strategies and support capital planning and resource allocation
  • Proactively analyze and evaluate the business, identifying key operating trends, opportunities for growth, and more prudent expense management
  • Own and build financial and operational forecasting models, quantifying opportunities and risks associated with profitable growth
  • Lead financial and operational reporting, digesting financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis and communicating trends, risks, opportunities to leadership
  • Support monthly business targets, partnering across the organization to support monthly goal attainment
  • Provide business partnering and project management, working with market and functional leaders to develop forecasts and critical metrics, and operationalize data-driven insights for cross-functional teams
  • Support special projects such as new product, market launches, and fundraising initiatives

Let’s talk about you

  • You have 2 - 4 years experience working in finance preferably FP&A at an E-commerce or shipping/logistics technology solution
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Sheets. SQL, R (or equivalent), Adaptive Planning and Tableau are a plus, but not required.
  • Experience building presentations and reporting for board meetings / senior management.
  • You are team oriented - enjoy working with team members in a highly collaborative and transparent environment.
  • You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changeable tech environment - enjoy taking on new experiences and overcoming complex challenges in first-time conditions.
  • You are an excellent communicator and have high emotional intelligence.
